Email Setup Information

If you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer you should have an email program with it.  The latest versions will contain Outlook Express.  The instructions below are for setting up your email account through Outlook Express.

With Outlook Express opened...
Click on Tools
Select Accounts
Click on the Mail Tab
Click Add and from the drop down list select Mail

Enter your Display Name--This is who the email will show is from.  Click Next.

Select the button that says "I already have an email address..." and enter your email address (yourusername@wtconnect.com).  Click Next.

Make sure POP3 is selected.  In the POP3 Server-incoming mail type in pop.wtconnect.com.  In the SMTP Server-outgoing mail type in smtp.wtconnect.com.  Click Next.

In the Account Name field--type in your email address (ALL lowercase).  Enter your password iin the Password field.  If you would like to be promopted for your password each time you logon to your email account (security) then make sure there is NOT a check mark at the spot--Remember Password .  Click Next.

CONGRATULATIONS! You did it! Now you can successfully retrieve your email from WesTex Connect's email server.
