Internet Setup Assistant -- Configuration Name and Connection Type Screen
Name the configuration "WesTex" and verify that the Modem is selected as how you will connect to the internet.  Click right arrow when done...

On screen 3 - Modem Settings - choose the type of modem that your Mac has.  Choose the port (internal or external) and whether your phone line uses Tone or Pulse.  Click right arrow to continue...  When asked for a phone number -- type in 437-1555 (for Abilene dial up customers) ~ see Server Info for other dial-up numbers..

On screens 6 & 7 - PPP Connect Scripts - Select NO for this option.  WesTex Connect does not require a script to make a PPP connection.  Click on the right arrow...

On screen 9 - Domain Name Servers - You may leave the DNS and Domain Name information blank.  However, if you experience any problems--go ahead and enter 64.40.221.11 and on a new line enter 64.40.221.12 and enter wtconnect.com as the Domain Name.  Click right arrow to continue...

(Make sure your username, password, and email are ALWAYS entered in lowercase!)

On screen 10 - Email Address and Password - You will enter your email address in the space provided (username@wtconnect.com).  Enter your password in the space provided (if you leave this field blank--you will be prompted each time you check your email).  Click right arrow to continue...

On screen 11 - Email Account and Host Computer - You will need to enter mail.wtconnect.com as your POP (first field) for your incoming email and enter mail.wtconnect.com as your SMTP (second field) for your outgoing email.

On screen 12 - Newsgroup Host Computer - Do not enter any information in the box.  Click on the right arrow to continue...

On screen 13 - Web Proxy Setup - Make sure NO is selected.  WesTex Connect does not use a proxy server behind their firewall.

On screen 14 - Conclusion - If you would like your computer to connect to the internet when finished--make sure the check is in the box beside Connect when finished.  Next, click on Go Ahead to finish the install.

That should be it! Your system should now be properly configured to use WesTex Connect for dial-up Internet Access.
