SALES TAX CHANGES FOR INTERNET SERVICE: WesTex Connect is proud to announce that the State of Texas has recently changed its tax policy regarding Internet Access, effective October, 1, 1999. The first $25 of a monthly charge for internet service is exempt from sales tax. According to Section 151.325 of Senate Bill 441, this exemption will apply to all purchasers of Internet Access Services. WesTex Connect will try to provide important information to our current and potential customers so that you will know what is going on with WesTex Connect and the Internet World.
